On Thursday 22nd July we celebrated the opening of our new Stamford depot serving summer drinks and canapés. The new depot is within sight of the A1, at Tinwell in Stamford, and will serve customers in Stamford, Rutland, Leicestershire, Cambridgeshire and south Lincolnshire, following a realignment of the dealer’s trading area by its main franchises – Kubota and the Kverneland Group.
The Kubota franchise was taken on in 2014 when higher horsepower M7 tractors joined the range, and the full range of agricultural, Groundcare and construction machinery is now available from all four depots.
Stamford branch manager Martin Jarvis is excited by the opportunity. “To the west of Tinwell the farming is mainly mixed livestock and arable, and to the north and south there are larger farms with more arable cropping,” he explained. “We can offer Kubota tractors up to 170hp along with a wide range of Kverneland implements and accessories for all farm types, and feedback from farmers and contractors in the area has confirmed that they are delighted to have us based at Stamford to supply and look after the products. “Being so close to the A1 is a big advantage as customers from further away can also get to us easily.”
Kverneland group sales manager David Furber was asked to carry out the official opening, having initially appointed Irelands as a Vicon dealer in 2013. The Vicon franchise was closely followed by Kubota, then Kverneland was added in 2015, then Great Plains and in 2020 the dealer took on the Groundcare products too.
Other franchises for Agriculture include, Grange Machinery, Spearhead and NRH rolls. Other franchises for Groundcare include Wiedenmann, Campey, Baroness and Spearhead along with complementary brands.
The official opening was performed by Kverneland Group sales manager David Furber and attended by a large number of customers. David having initially appointed Irelands as a Vicon dealer in 2013. The Vicon franchise was closely followed by Kubota, then Kverneland was added in 2015, then Great Plains and in 2020 the dealer took on the Groundcare products too. David complimented Jonathan and Fiona Ireland’s drive to build the dealership and find a suitable site for the expansion. He continued saying that huge investment in training of sales, service and parts staff has been made to ensure customers receive all the back-up they need from the start, and he said he is convinced that the Irelands and their team will work to ensure continuing success of all the Kubota and Kverneland brands.
We would like to thank all of those involved for making it a very successful evening. It was a pleasure meeting new customers and lovely to see our current customers support our expansion.
